In a dedicated effort to promote health awareness and early diagnosis, a Free Diabetes Medical Camp was successfully conducted in the heart of Thiruvadanai. Organized by our center with the support of local health volunteers, the event attracted a large number of residents who took proactive steps toward managing their health.
The camp, held at the Thiruvadanai Town Center, provided free blood sugar testing, basic health check-ups, and individual consultations with experienced medical professionals. People from all walks of life—young adults to senior citizens—came forward to get their sugar levels checked, many for the first time. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about diabetes, a condition that affects millions yet often goes undiagnosed in its early stages.
Participants were guided through a smooth screening process, and those identified with abnormal sugar levels were provided with immediate medical advice, dietary suggestions, and follow-up care instructions. Educational materials were also distributed, focusing on lifestyle changes, exercise, and the importance of routine monitoring.
Doctors at the camp emphasized the significance of regular screening and how early detection of diabetes can prevent long-term complications such as heart disease, kidney failure, and vision problems. The medical team also clarified several myths surrounding diabetes, making the session not just a check-up event but also an informative experience for the attendees.
The local community expressed gratitude for the accessible service and urged for more such initiatives in the future. “This was very helpful for people like us who do not often go to hospitals due to distance and cost. We need more camps like these,” said a local resident who participated in the screening. This camp marks another step in our continuous mission to bring affordable and accessible healthcare to rural and underserved communities. We believe that awareness and early intervention can change lives, and we are committed to conducting more such camps across the region.
