A free medical camp for diabetes screening was conducted at the center of Anandhur, drawing in local residents for vital health checks and awareness. The initiative aimed to promote early detection of diabetes and encourage healthy lifestyle habits among the community.

The camp offered free blood sugar testing, basic health consultations, and counseling sessions by experienced doctors. The focus was on early diagnosis and timely intervention to prevent long-term complications associated with undiagnosed diabetes.

People of all age groups, especially those above 35 years, turned up in large numbers. For many, this was the first time they had their sugar levels checked. The medical team guided participants through the importance of maintaining blood sugar within a healthy range and explained potential symptoms of diabetes, such as excessive thirst, frequent urination, and fatigue.

The event also included educational awareness on diet, exercise, and routine health monitoring. Pamphlets in both Tamil and English were distributed to ensure everyone could understand how to prevent and manage diabetes effectively.

The camp received positive feedback from the public. A local resident shared, “This camp helped me learn more about my health. I didn’t know I had high sugar levels. I’m thankful I got tested today.” This initiative was part of a larger effort to bring accessible healthcare to rural communities and encourage proactive health practices. The organizers expressed their gratitude to the medical volunteers and local supporters who made the event possible.
